Day 5: A word you're thankful for:
Choose joy today, friends. God's joy. The only true joy you can have in every situation.
Day 6: A memory you're thankful for:
I have so many fun memories, it was hard to choose just one. But I'm thankful we were able to vacation in the beautiful city of North Grafton, Massachusetts. That's one of my favorite memories. And here's one more. A few years ago, us girls went with mommy on a field trip to SeaWorld. It was when they had just opened their new Manta ride. Lauren and I decided we would go on this roller coaster with Sarah. (We had never been on a roller coaster that had gone upside down before, but this couldn't be too bad, we decided. When you're upside down, it's like you're laying on your back.) You know when you're on a ride, there's cameras that spontaneously take your picture? Well, we asked to see the picture taken of us, and someone at the counter showed it on the monitor. It was such a funny picture! Sarah was smiling as big as the sun, I was screaming, and Lauren looked like she was sobbing in a horror movie!
So that's it for the stroll down memory lane. Until next time........
Day 7: A luxury you're thankful for:
I'm thankful for cars. It would be so hard to walk to places that were far away in the heat. I'm also thankful for air conditioning. :)
What word, memory, and luxury are you thankful for?
Blessings and love in the Lord,
Ashley
I almost said "salvation" was a word that I am thankful for, but without JESUS, and what he did for us on the cross, there would be no salvation. Therefore, the WORD I am thankful for, would be JESUS. The memory I am most thankful for, are the days of my youth, when my parents loaded us six kids up in our station wagon, and took us to church. Nothing is more precious than parents, who care enough for your Spiritual well-being, that they would see that you are raised up in the house of God, so that when the time comes, you can CHOOSE FREELY, whom you will serve as your Lord and Savior, and you will understand his great love for you, in that he gave up is life, for YOU. Lastly, the LUXURY that I am most thankful for, would have to be WATER. (Oceans, Rivers, Tap water, etc.). You cannot put a value on water, as without it, we would die within days. We can live without a lot of things, like electricity, vehicles, cell phones, TV sets, homes, etc. (Many of the youth think we can't live without these things, but YES, many people have done so). God bless you Ashley, and you are doing a GREAT job!!!! Louise Rector
ReplyDeleteA word I'm thankful for is Grace. A memory is my last day in Uganda this summer, and one final game of chase with the children at the Refuge Center. And a luxury is totally unexpected vacation days at the beach :)

ReplyDeleteRedemption, the memory of milking the cows with my older brothers and sister, TV or music! I love both so much!
