Xiamen International Garden Expo Nov. 2025

Nov. 29th a sister-friend and I met at the Horticulture Garden Expo.
This place is huge and has many options for getting around. We chose the train which is super convenient because you can hop on and get off at different spots. There's not much to write about, so just enjoy the photos. :)
KFC Coffee 😄
One of the many trains
Took a break to eat lunch
This is a historical section that shows different time periods.
This first time period represents their evolutionary belief that there were "pre-humans" before humans. 😢
I can't exactly remember, but I think these are some statues of famous teachers.
These statues represent the 3 teachings.
Since the Tang rulers enacted open cultural and educational policies, not only did Confucianism maintain its prestige, but also Buddhism from abroad and Taoism rooted in China developed well. Among these teachings, Confucianism gained superiority. Despite their conflicts, the religions influenced and complemented each other. By carrying on native traditions and introducing exotic elements, the Tang empire boosted cultural integration and institutional innovation which enabled the advent of a resplendent high-Tang culture.
Here are statues of Confucious and his students.
A beautiful version of "What Child Is This?" was playing throughout the park.
On one side of the park, there's international gardens. We searched for them all (I think there's 4) but only found 2. Or maybe we saw the others and just didn't know it. This one is the Japanese garden, though there weren't very many real plants. Some bonsai and some fake ones.
Colorful decorations near the fountains. It gets lit up at night.
Next, we walked through the animal habitat. This whole park, including the habitat area, is free. And you can walk right through most animals' habitats.
Do you see that chunky snake?
In this area, lots of little birds were flying around while these were chained.
Another train
On our way out we spontaneously decided to quickly walk through the Thailand section. It didn't have any flowers or plants but had the statues and huts.
And that concluded our day. 😃
