Day 30: A picture you're thankful for.
I love this picture which I took on the way up to Mt. Washington.
Well friends, this it the last day of the thankful challenge, but I'm going to post one more thing I'm thankful for tomorrow, December 1st. :)
I hope you all are truly thankful to God for all you have....I hope your day is filled with the sweet love of Jesus.
Walking in His truth,
Ashley
Galatians 5:23-25
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Days 26-28
Day 26: Something old you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for this cast iron stove. It's an antique. ;)
Day 27: Something new you're thankful for.
I won this shabby bag from a recent giveaway, which I enjoy using. I just love the heart, lace and flowers that adorn it.
Day 28: A tradition you're thankful for.
Every year for our birthdays my daddy takes the birthday girl out to eat for breakfast. It's a special tradition that I love and am thankful for.
Day 29: A favorite childhood memento you're thankful for.
I don't have a childhood memento. Do you?
What old and new thing are you thankful for? Is there a special tradition you're thankful for?
Hope your Sunday is filled with the special love and joy of Christ Jesus.
In Christ’s boundless and eternal love,
Ashley

Day 23-25~~~~~~ HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!
Day 23: A view you're thankful for.
This was taken on Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. I love the view of mountains off in the distance. Such beauty.
Day 24: A part of nature you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for birds. They're so neat to watch, and I love listening to them chirp. :)
Day 25: Something green you're thankful for.
Plants! :D
Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow celebrating with friends and family. Remember to thank the true Giver of all things, who has bountifully bestowed upon us so many blessings.
What do you have planned for Thanksgiving?
Here are a few quotes I stumbled across.
"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather recognizing and appreciating what we DO have."
It is not happy people who are thankful, it is the thankful people who are happy."
"What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?"
"The things you take for granted, someone else is praying for."
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks because He's given us His Son, give thanks.
Rejoicing in the sovereignty of our great God,
Ashley
Revelation 7:12
Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Days 16-22
Hey friends.
I've been really busy and I'm so sorry for being absent for a few days. I got quite behind on posting.
Day 16: An animal you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for our dog Lacy! :D She's so funny...she likes to lay in tight places and boxes. (We call her a box dog. ;)
Day 17: A song you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for the Christmas duet I'm playing with my sister.
Day 18: Something in your house you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for the shoe boxes we've been able to pack for Samaritans' Purse Operation Christmas Child. They take thousands of shoe boxes (which are filled with gifts such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, crayons, notebooks, stuffed animals, etc.) overseas and give them out to poor children as well as share the gospel with them. There are such amazing stories about how God is working through Samaritan's Purse. Have you heard of Samaritan's Purse? If so, have you ever packed shoeboxes for them? Click here to get involved.
Day 19-20: A warm and soft object you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for blankets. I've been thinking about this lately, and you know, we often take for granted small things, like blankets, appliances. etc. God has truly blessed us with those small things that we use every day. Let's not forget to thank Him for the little things.
Day 21: A wooden object you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for the honey dipper I made with daddy. :)
Day 22: A dessert you're thankful for.
Apple Pie!!!!
What animal, song, dessert, warm object, and wooden object are you thankful for?
Hope you're having a joyful day in the Lord.
Much love and blessings through Christ our Saviour,
~Ashley~

Days 9 , 10, 11, &12
Day 9: An emotion you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for happiness. Here's a song that coordinates with happiness.
Happiness is to know the Saviour
Living a life within His favor,
Having a change in my behavior
Happiness is the Lord.
Happiness is a new creation
Jesus in me in close relation
Having a part in His salvation
Happiness is the Lord.
Real joy is mine
No matter if teardrops start,
I've found the secret--
It's Jesus in my heart!
Happiness is to be forgiven
Living the life that's worth the living
Taking a trip that leads to heaven
Happiness is the Lord. Happiness is the Lord. Happiness is the Lord!!
Day 10: A book you're thankful for.
I'm sooooo thankful for the Bible.
I'm thankful for the early morning, when we watch the sunrise on the beach.
Day 12: An appliance you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for the coffee maker! This is for all you coffee lovers. ;) I think the most important appliance is the refrigerator, and for that I'm thankful, but I still like the coffee maker. :D

Colossians 3:1-3
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Attitude of Gratitude: Day 8
Good evening friends in the Lord, and a happy Sunday to you.
Day 8: A number you're thankful for.
I don't really have a favorite number. I've always liked 8 (for no particular reason) and I also like 14, 15 & 16. Fourteen is when I first went to the Wilds camp in N.C. with Sarah, 15 is when I received my driving permit on my birthday, and 16 is when I passed the driving test for my license! :)
Do you have a favorite number? Leave a comment and tell me what it is and why! :D
Have a joyful, God-filled week.
Keep looking up, He's always looking down,
Ashley
Romans 8:14,15,16
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Day 5, 6 & 7 of Attitude of Gratitude
Day 5: A word you're thankful for:
Choose joy today, friends. God's joy. The only true joy you can have in every situation.
Day 6: A memory you're thankful for:
I have so many fun memories, it was hard to choose just one. But I'm thankful we were able to vacation in the beautiful city of North Grafton, Massachusetts. That's one of my favorite memories. And here's one more. A few years ago, us girls went with mommy on a field trip to SeaWorld. It was when they had just opened their new Manta ride. Lauren and I decided we would go on this roller coaster with Sarah. (We had never been on a roller coaster that had gone upside down before, but this couldn't be too bad, we decided. When you're upside down, it's like you're laying on your back.) You know when you're on a ride, there's cameras that spontaneously take your picture? Well, we asked to see the picture taken of us, and someone at the counter showed it on the monitor. It was such a funny picture! Sarah was smiling as big as the sun, I was screaming, and Lauren looked like she was sobbing in a horror movie!
So that's it for the stroll down memory lane. Until next time........
Day 7: A luxury you're thankful for:
I'm thankful for cars. It would be so hard to walk to places that were far away in the heat. I'm also thankful for air conditioning. :)
What word, memory, and luxury are you thankful for?
Blessings and love in the Lord,
Ashley

Attitude of Gratitude..Always have a thankful heart day 4
How are you all today, friends?
Day 4- A trinket you're thankful for.
Day 4- A trinket you're thankful for.
This is a clock pencil sharpener, and it works superb. It sharpens my pencils better than regular sharpeners.
Song of the week: Give Thanks
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
Let the poor say, "I am rich

Attitude of Gratitude Days 1-3
Good evening friends.
You may have wondered why I haven't posted in over a week. That's because mommy, Sarah and I took a little four day vacation to South Carolina to visit Bob Jones University. We took a tour of the college, and enjoyed our time so much, especially the cool weather and the beautiful scenery of the leaves changing colors.
Since it's November, it is time for the...... Attitude of Gratitude: Always have a thankful heart series!!! I found a November inspiration challenge, (something a little different than other years) and am going to post a picture each day of something on the list I'm thankful for. Here are numbers 1-3.
The first thing on the list is:
1. A person you're thankful for.
Can I list 2 people? I am so extremely thankful for my parents. I don't know where I would be without them. They've invested so much in my life, guided me, taught me about the things of the Lord, and I am so blessed to call them my parents.
2. A place you're thankful for.
3. A food you're thankful for.
What person, place, and food are you thankful for today?
Blessings in Christ,
Ashley
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

I'm thankful for the little "reading nook" I created which is located next to my bed. I sit there often to write, read, take a nap, etc.
I'm so thankful we were able to get a pumpkin this year. Sarah is planning out what pumpkin goodies she wants to make on the weekend, and others in our family are looking forward to eating roasted pumpkin seeds.
What person, place, and food are you thankful for today?
Blessings in Christ,
