I'm Thankful For...A Tea Party ~~ Day 16

I'm thankful for a tea party.
Tea parties are so much fun, aren't they? :) We enjoyed a small tea party this afternoon with two of our neighbors. There were homemade egg salad sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, white chocolate peppermint scones, cream puffs, watermelon, an a plate of celery and carrots. Raspberry tea was set out, as well as lemonade. We played a couple "get to know your neighbor" games, as well as Telephone, which we haven't played in the longest time. :)
This was the place setting.
These cute candle holders were at each plate as a party favor.
I crocheted an array of tea cup coasters for the occasion.
Everyone had such a delightful time chatting, laughing and drinking tea this afternoon...
I think we should do it more often.  :)  {{smiles}}

I do hope you all have a good and godly rest of the week. :D

  1. What a delightful time you must have had, the menu sounds very special, but the nicest part of all, I think, were the crocheted teacup coasters! They are just delightful! You are very talented :) Hosting such a special event makes for very special memories and fellowship. Hugs to you today!

  3. I was browsing through your posts, and I know this one is quite a ways back. But, it brought back so many memories to me! I have four sisters, but they are all married now and I'm the only daughter at home. I was thinking recently how much I miss times with my sisters and the many special tea parties we had! Whenever I get to visit one of my sisters in Canada (which isn't very frequently), we try to make it a point to always have a tea party together. :) You never know how much you'll come to miss simple things like that until you no longer can enjoy as much time with sisters and brothers. We should treasure it and thank God for it!

    1. Oh, tea parties with sisters are just the best. :) That's neat you have four sisters. I have three sisters, and only my oldest sister enjoys tea parties. She's gone a lot now (at college), so sadly, I hardly ever get to have a tea party.
      And you are so right about that. Since my sister has gone away to college, I miss the small simple things we did together before she left.
      Well, if we ever get to meet, surely we'll have to have a tea party. :)

  4. Thanks so much for your reply. :) I'm sure you must miss your sister, I remember what it was like for me when one of my sisters who I was closest to got married and moved far away. That would be fun to have a tea party, wouldn't it? Too bad we didn't live closer so we could do that. :) Hope you're having a great day!
