Meet Stormy and Thunder!
Deborah bought Thunder (a male Yorkshire/Hampshire Crossbreed) and Stormy (a female Yorkshire/Hampshire Crossbreed) on September 16th. When she first brought them home, Thunder weighed 119 pounds and Stormy weighed 70 pounds. Debbie is auctioning Stormy off at the South Florida fair in January, and Thunder is getting auctioned off in the local county fair in February.
Last week their pen was flooded from all the rain we had, so Thunder and Stormy were moved to the old garage. Last Sunday was so hot out, Stormy took to laying in the water bucket to cool off. Unfortunately a few days ago, the pigs were super hungry so they broke a few boards in the door and ran around the yard.
Don't worry-Thunder's head isn't stuck in there...He's just eating food. :)
Okay. Let me just say that it's incredibly hard to take a picture of the pigs looking at the camera. They always have their heads down rooting or are constantly moving.
I was going to show a video of them playing in the pond, but alas, it won't upload because of length, so I guess I'll have to film another one.
Enjoy your day!
Your photos of Stormy and Thunder made me smile! I didn't know pigs could be so cute.
ReplyDelete:) They are cute to watch, especially when they play in the mud and friskily run around grunting. :)
DeleteAwww, I loveeeeeeeeeeeee them soooo much!
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley,
ReplyDeleteYou took very good pictures of the pigs.
I know they can be very hard to take pictures of, because they won't stand still. Good job. They been so much work to take care of. I don't ever want another pig again.
