Christ Be Beside Me

Christ be beside me, Christ be before me,
Christ be behind me, King of my heart.
Christ be within me, Christ be below me,
Christ be above me, never to part.
Christ on my right hand, Christ on my left hand,
Christ all around me, shield in the strife.
Christ in my sleeping, Christ in my sitting,
Christ in my rising, light of my heart.
Christ be in all hearts thinking about me,
Christ be on all tongues telling of me.
Christ be the vision, in eyes that see me.
In ears that hear me, Christ ever be.
Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me,
All His wonderful passion and purity.
O thou Spirit divine, may I truly be thine,
Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me.
Let my wonderful Saviour be seen in me,
His amazing compassion and constancy.
His great love is my goal, by His Spirit’s control
Till my wonderful Saviour be seen in me.

Let the fruit of the Spirit be seen in me
Grant me grace all sufficient that I may be.
True and faithful each day, ev’ry step of the way.
Pointing souls to the Saviour on Calvary.

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

February 2021-May 2021

Hello!!!!
It has been a long time since I've shared a monthly overview post, so here is one (very late) update now with lots of pictures from the last four months of college, which was February to May.

There are so many gorgeous flowering plants blooming on campus all the time. (Plus, the lawn guys are always digging up flowers and replanting new beauties.)

These photos were taken during the labs in my photography class.

God blessed us with a beautiful day during Bible Conference (Feb. 22-24) to enjoy a lovely picnic. The theme was 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame', and there was “baseball game" foods, as well as baseball-themed games and kite flying.

More photos from photography class...

These are my favorite displays created by art students, shown at the art show.

More nature photos...

This photo and the next two are ones I shot for my final photography project. For each, I had to shot the photo in RAW format, and edit them according to my teacher's specifications. For the above flower, I had to edit the color photo to enhance it.
This is a color photo, converted to black and white with one color added back in.
This photo is called a HDR photo: the combination of one regular, one overexposed (too much light), and one underexposed (not enough light) photo. When put together, one is able to see the details that are usually hidden by the highlights. In this photo, detail can be seen in the tree trunk.
At the senior party, Sarah won the grand prize when she found this Woody character. :)
These railroad tracks were near a beautiful beach that Sarah, her friend, and I visited to take pictures at.

Sarah graduated on May 13th from PCC with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
Her friend made the lovely graduation cap.

Sarah's nursing pin...
After Sarah's graduation, we all left college and went home for a week.
We girls visited the Elliot museum as well as the House of Refuge museum and beach.
A painting of the House of Refuge...
The beach...
Across the road from the beach is the river.
God gives us the prettiest scenes to enjoy.
 Toby
Zoey got stuck in a tree and had bad I nternal injuries. Sadly, she had to be put down on June 23rd.

Toby and Gracie miss her. Gracie loved playing with the goats. Here Zoey is chasing her.

And that about sums up February through May. Now the summer is upon us and I hope to do a summer update within the next month or so. I’d love to hear how your year has been going thus far...feel free to leave a comment!

love,
Ashley
