Pictures from life

Good afternoon!

A few nights ago I crocheted a baby hat- the first hat I ever made! It turned out superbly, and I love it!!!  :) Here's a couple pictures:

Yesterday, we visited the beach, and I took a small amount of pictures of the waves. I saw probably 10 birds flying, and I wish I could have captured their picture!!! The birds started flying out in the shape of a tiny v, and then they spanned out till it looked like a large and wide V. It was so neat!!!! But sadly, my camera lens somehow had sand in it, and my camera would not even turn off. I stuck a vaccuum on the lens, the sand was sucked up, and now it works. YAY!!!! :) Below are a few pictures I took yesterday.

   Love how you can see 3 different colors of the water in this picture.

                                                    I love this picture of this sunflower!!!

I also wanted to mention that next week (which I can't wait for) I'm going to write about something super exciting!!!!!!!!! :) So ya'll can be looking forward to that. :)
                                              Which picture is your favorite?

Saying of the week: Man's way lead to hopeless end...God's way leads to an endless hope.

Scripture of the week: Romans 16:24-27
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Song of the week: Grace! Tis a Charming Sound.
Grace ! 'tis a charming sound,
Harmonious to the ear ;
Heaven with the echo shall resound,
And all the earth shall hear.

Saved by grace along;
This is all my plea-
Jesus died for all mankind,
And Jesus died for me.

Twas grace that wrote my name
In life's eternal book:
'Twas grace that gave me to the Lamb,
Who all my sorrows took.

Grace taught my wandering feet
To tread the heavenly road:
And new supplies each hour I meet,
While pressing on to God.

Grace taught my soul to pray,
And made mine eyes o'erflow:
Twas grace which kept me to this day,
And will not let me go.

Oh, let Thy grace inspire
My soul with strength divine
May all my powers to Thee aspire,
And all my days be Thine.

Saved by grace alone;
This is all my plea-
Jesus died for all mankind,
And Jesus died for me.

In Jesus' love,
Ashley

My new blog // peanut plant // flowers

Hello everyone,
I decided to make a new blog for my store so I could keep it separate from this blog. Please visit it and tell your family and friends about it too. :) You can click on the following link and it will take you to the blog: Ashley's Crochet Corner

 And, I also wanted to show you all my peanut plant! I planted it a couple weeks ago, and it must have sprouted either yesterday or the day before, because it's not a new sprout anymore. :) Here's a picture of it.

Our Gardenia bush started blooming yesterday, and the gorgeous flowers have a sweet scent to them. Here are some pictures I captured today of the flowers. :)

Have you ever grown a peanut plant? If so, leave a comment and tell me what your experience was like.

Psalms 180:3-5
I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

Love,
Ashley

How Great Is Our God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening everyone.

I wanted to share an awesome video with y'all.(Some of you may have already seen it.) It's called How Great is Our God. I have recently been enthralled with  how cool the Creator made the creation that's all around us. This video shows some astonishing things that I didn't even know about!!! Make sure you watch the whole thing! :) (This would be a nice video to watch with your whole family. :)
Well, what did you think of it? Leave me a comment below and tell me what you think the coolest thing was that Louie Giglio talked about. :)

I'm going to share some wonderful things I learned last week from watching a Science video. :)
You've all have heard of vanilla, right? Well, the vanilla plant is actually an orchid found in Mexico. It has a little membrane that covers the part of the orchid that produces the pollen. So that means not just any bee can pollinate it. The coolest part about this orchid is that it only blooms one time out of the whole entire year, and it stays open for 8-12 hours; after that it will start to wither. But God fashioned a certain bee, the Mexican Melipona Bee, (which, by the way, doesn't have a stinger) to know when to fly to the orchid on the morning that it is opened, lift up the little membrane, and collect the pollen.  And only that bee can do it. Isn't that just incredible?! Oh, and once it's pollinated, the orchid produces a vanilla bean.

Here's another marvelous animal which God remarkably designed. The Penguin.

After the female penguin leaves her mate, who has the egg sitting on his feet to keep it warm, she goes and fills up on food. She holds food in her stomach to give her baby after it hatches, and scientists aren't even sure how she does it without the food decaying. God designed them to do what they do and they do it well. :)  Anyway, after she's does eating, she goes back to the pack of male penguins, who are all waiting for their mate to come back. There are thousands of penguins all standing together, and using her call/whistle, she can find her mate out of thousands of others!!!! And here's something cool: the baby penguin usually hatches on the day the mom gets back. :) Isn't that just prodigious?!!!

Guess who has the strongest immune system of all birds?! It's the..........Ostrich!!!!!! Yep, that's right folks. This flightless, strong bird stumps scientists because they don't know what makes the Ostrich's immune system so strong-it never gets sick!
And guess which mammal has the strongest immune system? I would have never guessed it, so don't feel bad if you don't get your guess right. :) It's the..............sea cow, aka Manatee.

Do you have a favorite animal? If so, leave a comment and tell me something that you think is cool about it. :)

The Walk for Life was yesterday, and though it was fun, it was tremendously scorching! There wasn't as many people as there was last year, but there was still a great turnout. Thank you to everyone who sponsored us by donating to Care Net. :) Something awesome happened yesterday. :) I was given 4 tickets, and I filled out my 2 sister's names and my name on 3, and on the 4th one, I wrote all of our names. There were 4 bags: 1 one was for a gift card to the mall, one was for a paintball tournament, 1 was for movie tickets, and one other one that I forget what it was. Anyway, I put 2 tickets in the mall bag, and 2 in the paintball bag. And guess what?! The ladies picked our name out of the.........paintball bag!!!!!!! :) I was excited to win a prize! There were a few other things in the prize bag, one of which was a gift card to a place where you can shape and paint your own pottery! :) And the gift certificate is for 4 people to play paintball! :)

Here's the Saying of the week:

"You have made us for Yourself, Oh Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee."  --St. Augustine

Scripture of the week: Romans 15:1-6
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one towards another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I looked up where "the reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me." was written in the Old Testament. It's found in Psalms 69:9, which says "For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me."

Song of the week: Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty.
Praise ye the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, Now to His temple draw near;
Join me in glad adoration!

Praise ye the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him!

All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him!
Let the Amen Sound from His people again:
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

Have a godly week!
Enjoying God's creation,
Ashley

New Store!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!!!!
 I have some exciting news!!! My store is now open!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can click above on Ashley's Store.
 Feel free to share my products and store with your friends and family. :)

I found this verse that I have read multiple times this week. Psalms 147:1 "Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely."

Saying of the week:

Song of the week: Must I Go, and Empty-Handed?
"Must I go, and empty handed," Thus my dear Redeemer meet? Not one day of service give Him, Lay no trophy at His feet?
"Must I go, and empty-handed?" Must I meet my Savior so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him: Must I empty-handed go?

 Bible verse of the week: Romans 14:7-9
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Have a good and godly week!!!!!
In the love of our Saviour,
Ashley

Walk For Life!!!!

Hey everyone!!!!
Next Saturday, my sisters and I are participating in the Walk for Life for a Christian organization called Care Net. You can click here to find out more about the walk. They provide help to women who are considering abortions, and when the women come into their facilities for help, Care Net shares the gospel with them, and hundreds of baby's lives have been saved. God is doing an amazing work through them, and I am so thankful for this wonderful organization. Every year they have a huge fundraiser and it's so much fun to attend!!! We are trying to raise money for Care Net, so if anyone would like to sponsor us, it would be much appreciated!!!! If you are interested in supporting my sisters and I, please contact us by using the form on the side of my blog. All donations are tax deductible. (My "contact me form" and page has been having some problems, so I put the "contact form" on the side of my blog.) You may also contact me by leaving a comment with your name and email. If you would like, please share with your friends and family. :)

He Is Risen!!!!! Happy Easter!!!!!

                                    HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!
My daddy told us a really cool thing on Thursday night in Bible. John 19:28-30 says: "After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

He knew he had fulfilled all the Scriptures that had talked about His death, except the prophecy in Psalms 69:21, which says "They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink." So, at the very last minute, He remembered the Word of God had not all been fulfilled, so he said "I thirst." And then in John 19:30, He said "It is finished." He knew all the prophecies had been fulfilled, and now it was time for Him to be the sacrifice Lamb. He was saying "I won. The battle is over. It's finished."

In Mark chapter 15:23, it says, "And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not." That stuff was supposed to deaden the pain of crucifixion, but Jesus refused it; he choose to bear all the pain. His love for us is sooo amazing!!!! And wonderful!!!! But I am so thankful He rose again from the grave, or else we wouldn't have eternal life.

Every time I think of Jesus dying on the cross, it reminds me that it was really our sins that He died for, and that we should have been the ones to pay for our sins. But no. Jesus loved us, like no one else ever can, that He took all the sins, not just some people's, but all the sins of every single person in the world. He took them all on himself, and paid for them with His blood. That is more than amazing and wonderful love. I can’t even describe how loving that is. John 15:13 says "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Remember to thank Jesus for what He did for you-even when you didn’t deserve it. None of us deserved it. Every one deserved to go to hell-forever. But now we can spend eternity with our Saviour and Lord Jesus. Oh, how sweet that day will be, when at Jesus’ feet we’ll fall, and offer him thousands of years of praise. :)

Saying of the week:

Bible verse of the week: Romans 13:10-14
Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Song of the week: Christ Arose!
Low in the grave He lay-Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day-Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose, With a mighty triumph o'er His foes;
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign,
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed-Jesus my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead- Jesus my Lord!

Death cannot keep his prey-Jesus my Savior!
He tore the bars away-Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose, With a mighty triumph o'er His foes;
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign,
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

                                    What did you do for Easter? Anything special?

Trusting in the risen Saviour,
Ashley
